CONCLUDING OBSERVATIONS ON THE SEVENTH PERIODIC REPORT OF JAPAN, Convent on Civil and Political Rights (CCPR), Human Rights Committee, Nov. 3, 2022
The Human Rights Committee released the report, Concluding Observations on the Seventh Periodic Report of Japan. Reiterating its previous recommendations, the committee urges the State party to take immediate and effective legislative and administrative measures to ensure restorative justice for “comfort women.” It also emphasizes the importance of education about the issue.
